Since I’ve been planning on decorating another guest room in my house, I’ve been thinking long and hard about using chartreuse or lime green fabrics in it. It’s the smallest bedroom in my house {vacated not too long ago by one of my stepsons} which now houses a lot of my home staging accessories, fabrics, wrapping papers and other items that come and go in my home. I am thinking of keeping the walls light – probably white – and adding some lovely fabrics in the lime green family. I love the vibrancy of this color family – it makes me so happy to see it. So, I thought my readers might want to see some of the color ideas I’ve collected in this palette.
Paired with fuchsia, white and orange, it’s a color pairing that’s great for a bedroom
With blue and white, it makes an elegant bedroom statement
For an outdoor patio area, it’s a great color that blends with all the greenery
It makes a great statement painted on doors
Maybe not everyone’s choice for a mantle – but this is gorgeous!
Here’s a closeup
The bright accessories against a dull background really pop
Love the pale lime green ceiling and those lovely leather chairs
Jonathan Adler used chartreuse yellow on the chairs and window treatments to brighten this room
In a neutral bathroom, add some color with gray and chartreuse wallpaper
Blue and green should never be seen? Nonsense!
It’s beautiful as painted furniture
Lovely in bouquets…

Thank you Marta. I really try to be as positive as possible. Thanks for reading my blog and commenting!
Where can the lime green dining room chairs featured in the kitchen photo be purchased?
Hi – do you mean the leather chairs or the Chinese Chippendale chairs (the yellow green ones). eBay would be good for the Chippendale chairs…but most likely you would have to paint them. The leather Parsons chairs – perhaps you could look at Pier1 or CostPlus (World Market) and they may have them!
Thanks for looking…and commenting!

I’m in search of lime green dining chairs exactly like the ones pictured above. Do you know where I can get those?
Hi – I am sorry I am only seeing this now. I don’t know if you can purchase them with that exact color leather…it’s a custom fabric on the chairs. Overstock has dining chairs in a pale olive faux leather. They are called Estonia. You might try those.
Or – Do a search for chartreuse dining chairs…or if you have some dining chairs already, you could do a search for chartreuse faux leather or leather (if budget is not a concern!) and then have a local upholsterer do the work for you!
Hope this helps…

I have a favorite chartreuse wall color paint (Sherwin-Williams “Frolic”) but I’m having a hard time finding the perfect fuschia to pair it with. Do you have any favorites?

Hi! I wouldn’t paint a wall in fuchsia to go with your green. I would add maybe a painted piece of furniture (try SW’s Forward Fuchsia)and add some fabric accents in fuchsia (a beautiful throw or decorative pillows) to pair it with the green.
Let me know how it turns out!

I’m looking for the perfect gray and chartreuse wallpaper. I absolutely love the the paper in the neutral bathroom pic. Where can I find paper like that? I’ve been searching everywhere. I should also mention, I don’t want to break the bank. 🙂
Thanks!
Hi Amber. Not sure if they are making it any more, but the manufacturer of the wallpaper is Shand Kydd (UK wallpaper co.) The number of the design was either JW105732 or JW105742.
Here’s a link – http://wallpapers.co.uk/shand-kydd-en
Perhaps you can email the company or that distributor to see if they may still have some left!
Good luck!
Linda
